August 30, 2006 (Owensboro, KY) – Owensboro Riverport personnel will be attending and exhibiting at the 95th Annual American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) Convention in New Orleans, LA on September 11-15, 2006.
This year’s program is based on the convention theme, "Rollin’ On the River 2006 – New Orleans” and will examine interests of the public seaport community, including trade, transportation, environmental, security, and other issues related to port development and operations.
Owensboro Riverport personnel will be highlighting their facility and will be available throughout the conference to discuss opportunities for cargo handling, warehouse storage, and economic development for their riverport properties and operations located on the Ohio River.
Owensboro Riverport operates a 150 acre river terminal and warehousing operation at 1771 River Road, Owensboro, KY, 42301 (Ohio River Mile 759). The Riverport also is seeking river-oriented tenants for its 92 acre Whaylon D. Coleman Terminal located at 4701 U.S. Highway 60 East, Owensboro, KY 42303 (Ohio River Mile 753).
Owensboro Riverport personnel will be located at Exhibit Booth # 211 in the Exhibition Hall at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Approximately 35 coastal ports, inland river terminals, governmental agencies, stevedores, freight forwarders, and other businesses associated with or supplying the port community will be exhibiting at the conference.
