Warehousing
Warehousing and storage play an important role in the over-all success of the Owensboro Riverport. Both raw materials and finished products are handled each day utilizing over 1 million square feet of general commodity warehouse space. Additional warehouse space is operated off-site on an as needed basis. Paper products, such as pulp bales, rolls, stock, and scrap paper are handled inbound and outbound. Metals, such as aluminum, magnesium, and zinc are frequently handled. Other products and commodities requiring indoor warehouse storage include food products, glass, and manufacturing equipment. Warehouse docks and four rail spurs guarantee product handling efficiency and provide the flexibility for all your truck and rail storage requirements. If required, an 80 ft. state-of-the-art truck scale is available on-site for weighing applications. Standard operating hours for warehousing operations is 7:00 a.m. -- 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
